Easy to grow, plant yarrow seeds in a sunny site in the fall or spring. Yarrow can grow in many different soil types, though all should be relatively well-drained. Water to establish and to extend blooming time. Supplemental water may also be necessary if yarrow is planted as a lawn-replacer to stimulate continued summer growing including the development of new leaves and flowers.
Yarrow is persistent and can spread by seed and rhizomes. Deadhead plants to extend flowering. Plants can grow well in containers.
