Orange arnica is one of our easiest-to-grow arnicas. It will readily establish from seed planted directly in the fall. Taking a cue from its natural habitat in seasonally moist meadows, plant in a sunny location or in part shade. Adapted to survive heat and drought, it dies back to the rootstalk and re-sprouts the following spring. Make sure your seeds are ethically sourced and come from your ecoregion.
Deadheading or supplemental watering can prolong flowering time.
